JANUARY/FEBRUARY THE MONTHS OF MADNESS!!!!

QRL AREA MANAGER - MACKAY - Jade Johnson

2023 Round 1 for RLMD Junior clubs is only days away from kick-off. Every club is doing a great job making sure all participants and volunteers are registered/accredited and allocated to teams. Our senior teams have all started to participate in trial games, with their season starting in late March.

To date, QRL/NRL/RLMD have been attending all clubs to present to all team staff and executives for our pre-season club visit. 2023 main messages are the implementation of the Positive Environment Program, Concussion, RLMD processes and course updates and dates to remember. Thank you to those clubs that have had significant numbers of volunteers attend these sessions. Special shout out to Souths Juniors and Seniors and Proserpine Juniors and Seniors, your attendance was amazing.

2023 will see the return of the Key Solutions MACKAY RISE program. Player registrations are now open. On the 11th & 12th of March, we will see our head coaches and program manager attend a conference in Brisbane to be updated on the program for 2023. 16th of March at Mackay Junior Rugby League Club House, Level 2 we are lucky enough to have Neil Henry present to all of our program coaches to prepare us for our program start date on the 15th of April.

Behind the scenes, QRL and RLMD operations have been madly developing draws for the hopefully dry, season. All games will be allocated and playrugbyleague.com.au has been updated to reflect the current season draw.

Thank you to all the amazing volunteers working tirelessly to get players on the field for the 2023 season. Teamwork makes the dream work... keep it up, Mackay.
